A little backstory: a few years back, this guy used to make "reviews" for a lot of classic games, I think he was Canadian. Whenever I'd look up a review for a game, I'd usually see one of his, I would even venture to say there were hundreds (no surprise since they were so short). The vast majority of his videos involved him briefly playing games with asinine bro commentary, never actually reviewing them in detail.
I came across a review for Blackthorne (which he refers to as "BlackTHRONE") and recorded the audio because it cracked me up, it's been in my sound clip arsenal for years. I wanted to see if the video was still around, but his channel appears to be gone and all of his reviews with it. With the audio clip as the last remaining memory of the guy, I wanted to record game footage to fit the audio, which took a few takes to get it right.
To this day, I still get a kick out of "Blackthrone," "Charlock's Keep" and the infamous "backwards shot." I've always pictured this guy to be the stereotypical bro gamer, fond of FPS games like Halo, Call of Duty, etc. The comedic factor stems from how bad it is, but I guess it's rather charming too, reminds me of the days when game reviewers weren't all about fancy editing and green screen chroma keying.
Anyway, if anyone knows who this guy is, let me know as I'm curious! For some reason, my brain tells me his username was "Kolibri" (like the game), but I'm not so sure about that. The audio file says it was recorded in May 20, 2008, so it's pretty damn old.
