Scrap metal replica #2 - Bohemian X century battle axe

In this video, I present how to forge a replica of the Bohemian X century battle axe. To make the axe I used fire welding technique.
This axe belongs to Kotowicz type IA.13.21 - a narrow, symmetrical blade with a flat butt and caps on both sides. In Czech Republic, this type is called "Bohemian type", in contrary to Moravian bradatica. It is dated to the 10th century and can be found in Central Bohemia. Its asymmetrical variants (IB.13.21) are found in Bohemia, Poland, and Germany. This axe comes from the male grave 22/05 from Klecany, close to Prague. The axe measured 149 × 55 mm, the eye for the handle is 33 × 26 mm. The axe is unique, as it is the only decorated example of this type. In front of the front cap, there are two stripes of copper alloy strips, one is closer to brass, the second one is closer to bronze.
