Scrap metal replica #3 - Pattern-welded spearhead
Replica of the early-medieval (Viking age) spearhead found in grave number 1 in Lutomiersk (Poland). The core of the spear is pattern welded, the socket is hexagonal. To forge it I used elements of the nineteenth-century wrought iron bridge (don't worry the bridge still exists I used parts replaced during renovation) - socket. The cutting edge is forged of steel rail my friend dived out from the Glomma river in Norway (probably also from nineteenth-century). Pattern welded core is made of the old wrought iron grille, steel rail, and T-55 tank cannon.
