Yesterday, Spain went dark. No electricity. No internet. No phone signal. This was part of a previus video I made but I did not put this on it. Then I decided I’d share this as the Belgian OP is using a special callsign that would not allow his personal details to public domains.
As a ham radio operator, I turned to the airwaves — hoping to connect, to find information, to help.But for hours, I heard nothing but contest calls. "CQ contest"... over and over.
I tried to reach out. I asked questions. I listened. Nothing.
While local HF and Vhf was great, we did not have much information even though our reporting was fluid as seen on my video youtu.be/X2rQXnAX2_U?si=O0OETj67A-qWnL_7.
In the other end it was hard to get something from outside…
High-power stations dominated the bands, chasing points — not even acknowledging the chaos unfolding across a country. That is fine… but if somebody is exposing this? Would you try to help or gave some hints just using a bit of your internet?
In addition, 1 week before the EU commission suggesed every european should get a survival kit.
This makes you think someoneknows something.
This video isn't about blame. It's a moment to reflect:

👉 Do we remember why we were given these privileges in the first place?
