Black Myth: Wukong: How to Get the Chubai Spearhead | Amazing Secret Quest Weapon in Chapter 3

The Chubai Spearhead quest begins when you’re thrown into the Pagoda Realm as part of the main storyline. This is a prison-like area that’s shrouded in mystery, filled with tough enemies, and packed with hidden challenges.

Once you’ve located the cell, which can be a bit tricky to find, go ahead and speak to the prisoner. This mysterious figure will give you the task of retrieving four spirits from the captains who rule the Pagoda Realm.

Your first target is Captain Lotus-Vision. He’s located in the second realm of the Pagoda. To reach him, you’ll first need to activate the Upper Pagoda Keeper's Shrine. Once you’ve done that, you’ll find yourself on a cliff. Look down and spot the red roof below. Jump down to this roof to encounter your first boss, Captain Lotus-Vision.

Captain Lotus-Vision is a formidable opponent, especially if you’re not fully prepared. He has fast, sweeping attacks that can catch you off guard, so be ready to dodge and counter whenever possible.

With the first spirit in hand, it’s time to head back to the prisoner’s cell. Using the spirit of Captain Lotus-Vision, you’ll be able to open the cell and continue the questline. The prisoner will now instruct you to gather the remaining three captain spirits. The next captain on your list is Captain Wise-Voice.

To reach Captain Wise-Voice, you’ll need to climb to the top of the Pagoda Realm. It’s a long and dangerous journey, filled with tough enemies and treacherous terrain. Keep an eye out for the Mani Wheel Keeper’s Shrine, as this is your next destination. Once you reach the shrine, you’ll trigger a cutscene. At the end of the cutscene, Captain Wise-Voice will appear, ready to fight.

Captain Wise-Voice is one of the hardest bosses in the game. His attacks are slow but powerful, and his enormous size makes it difficult to dodge effectively. The biggest challenge here is the camera, as his massive stature often causes the camera to go wild, making it hard to stay locked on or track his movements, you’ll claim the Spirit of Captain Wise-Voice as your reward.

Now, with two spirits collected, it’s time to move to the Valley of Ecstasy. This area is located a bit further into the game, and it’s home to your third target, Captain Void-Illusion. To reach him, you’ll need to proceed through the Valley of Ecstasy, battling enemies along the way, until you reach the Longevity Road Keeper Shrine. This shrine marks your next destination.

Captain Void-Illusion is one of the four Captains you need to find in Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong, but unlike the other Captains, he isn’t actually a boss fight. Instead, you’ll find his remains along the Road of Longevity in the Valley of Ecstasy. Start from the shrine, head right, and go up the small hill past a large, inaccessible tower. As you reach the base of a statue built into the cliffs, you’ll see a large corpse.

It turns out that someone beat you to it and put Captain Void-Illusion out of his misery. Even though you don’t fight him, you can still interact with the body to claim the Spirit of Captain Void-Illusion, which you need for the quest.

At the top of the stairs, you’ll encounter Captain Kalpa-Wave, a boss that combines devastating melee attacks with powerful shockwaves that can knock you back. His range and strength make him a serious threat, but his attacks are slow and telegraphed, giving you time to dodge and counterattack

With all four spirits in your possession, return to the prisoner in the Pagoda Realm. Speak to him once more and hand over the spirits. In exchange, the prisoner will reward you with the Chubai Spearhead, one of the most powerful materials you can collect in the game. This item boosts your attack power significantly and unlocks new spear-based moves, making it a game-changer for combat, especially in the later stages of the game.
