The note labels in PFA show what note name the note is (eg. F#, Gb, etc) but they also use a ton of GPU performance lol. the Funnels in this song lag the computer a ton, but i guess they wouldnt lag a more powerful computer.

This video was recorded with a custom python script which essentially automates the PFA nolag process. It takes a screenshot, advances by 0.01666 seconds, takes another screenshot, compares to the first, and keeps going. HOWEVER... this MIDI is so powerful that it managed to break the script and caused a bunch of noticeable frame drops on the end section, so thats why this is almost no lag. I will probably use this method in the future for midis with heavy polyphonic crashes.

A bit cramped on time at the moment, but I was able to squeeze this video out. I was planning on making a PFA no-lag video of this MIDI, but it turned out to mostly be merged tracks which isnt very fun to nolag. The audio of the overlap-less version is actually better than the original because of the merged tracks lol. Also, the original had so much polyphony (because of the merged tracks again) that it wasnt really possible to legit run in PFA. The OR turned out to be the right size.
Otherwise, this is a very good midi with songs that you pretty much never hear in a medley. There are a few interesting transitions, but I think this is a creative approach on any medley midi!
Also, unfortunately my old motherboard died suddenly, so it will probably be a while before I can start uploading regularly again (Using my old asus b450m-a/CSM atm)

After many months of collecting data, recording runs, editing, and finalizing, I have finally completed my set of comparisons. These are all from computers/CPUs that I own and have recorded. Most of the PCs/CPUs are either ones that I got for free, for cheap, or have had for a long time and only put to use recently. I have likely put at least 300 hours into all 3 comparisons, probably even more. Hopefully these are worth it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
9KX2 is an interesting MIDI. Most of the lag comes from pure overlap spam; the MIDI can be nolagged easily by removing the overlaps. Most of the heavy sections are a mix of medium polyphony amounts (2,000-5,000) and high-ish amounts of notes per second (50,000-300,000). When combined, these can lag every PC heavily and bring lower end PCs (Especially ones with potato graphics cards) to extreme lag. I only included PCs that could pass the first 2 crashes here; I do own quite a few other CPUs that are pure potato and are not worth even recording.
The final crash on the MIDI is the most interesting one of them all. It lags terribly on some CPUs (mainly everything before core 2, and Core 1st gen-4th gen, and everything before Ryzen) due to architecture errata. Interestingly, a high clocked Core 2 Duo can pass the final crash but a i7 4790k cannot.
Much of the rest of the MIDI is relatively bland (in terms of crashes) and does not require too much horsepower to pass. Generally this will mean at least 2MB cache and Core 2 speed.
Oh yeah, all 3 comparisons are in at least 4K resolution (Horizontally). This one is 5K (5120x2880), the next one is 5K ultrawide (5120x2160), and the last one is 4K Ultrawide (3840x1440). This made it significantly harder to edit the videos in VSDC (It doesnt like high resolutions that much), and I had to use custom techniques to bypass the resolution limit that was slightly over 4K to be able to create the 5K videos.

Time To legit run this! I finally had enough ram to load 3 parts at once.
I merged the 10 parts into 6 parts so there were overlapping sections that I could stitch together in my video editor to make a complete video without running into pagefile lag or not being able to load it at all.

This MIDI has practically no sustains so it is super easy to play. the 2 crashes are both about 9 million notes per second, so they both lag a ton. the last section is also very heavy and lags a lot.

It is finally here after many PC difficulties and random issues. I had to sacrifice editing quality to make this video exportable or else resolve would just nope out (4K doesnt work too well on 4GB VRAM.)
Anyway, it is finished, so I hope yall enjoy my PFA no-lag of this MIDI. I probably spent about 12 hours working on the audio midis and editing audio; some parts could still sound better but I am just out of time and patience to get them sounding even better so I hope they sound at least
somewhat good. I will probably do one more Unify video of my custom audio midi in the future, but I have yet to start on that video.
Forgot to mention that this took like 2 days to record and stuff. This video has been WIP since February 19th 2021.
