I figured out how to use DSR to make 4k Videos! I only have a 1080p monitor, so the quality should be much better because this makes youtube use the VP9 codec. I also threw in 120FPS because why not. This video will automatically become 120fps if/when youtube decides to add support for it. I can thank my GTX 1650s for being able to encode 4k60 video because it has the Turing Encoder, which is much faster than the old one. The "Video Decode" box on task manager was at 90% at some of the time while watching this video lol
I will try to make this the norm for future nolags, although I might use 60fps because 120fps already takes a super long time to encode this.

I wanted to fix the desync in the RST 6x and 9x series (63, 67, 69, and 92), so I found some common MIDIs and found that RST 63 million was a merge of RST 35 million and RST 28.2. I also found that 28.2 was arranged differently than every other MIDI, so I edited it so it worked with the others, and I had RST 63 remerged without desync. I then did some detective work, math, and used logic to find the other MIDIs in the other merges, and I was able to fix RST 63, 69, and 92 million so they are not desynced anymore. Side Note: All of the MIDIs have the exact same note count as the original MIDIs.
I spent like 3 days working on getting the audio to sound good for a separate audio midi that was used to make the video sound nice. I did a bunch of editing on the MIDI by removing the loud swirls at the end and a bunch of noise. Then, I remerged them until I had a really nice sounding MIDI. I split the MIDIs into tracks, rendered them all in KMC, and assembled them in FL studio and exported them without loudmax. I also rendered another version of the raw midi and merged the audio with the FL studio export so it still sounds like the original midi. I think it sounds good?
This video was recorded over 5 days at 4k using 0.001 speed. The raw video file was about 640 GB. I may need to get another HDD to put all of my recorded videos on lmao.
The time spent on the production of this video is probably about 2 weeks of computer time and about 100 hours of my time.

I was going to no-lag the Non nerfed version, but that one has over 500k Polyphony and wouldve taken me twice as long to no-lag. This one has 30k polyphony and is much more manageable at faster speeds such as 0.001.

I finally recorded this MIDI after over 9 months since I recorded a legit run on my old Ryzen 5 2600 system (https://youtu.be/T2v4rQjmcag ). I was able to use 1% speed on the entire video so it is one single video recording. I am still experimenting with video editing; I won’t be getting a new GPU anytime soon so I am stuck with my 1650 Super which in turn means no DaVinci Resolve. However, I think this video turned out well despite using VSDC. I currently go to school 5 days a week and work ~8 hours on each of the other 2 days so I have little time to make videos. However, I have some ideas coming up for the future, so stay tuned!

This MIDI will truly make your PC Shrekt. With a crash of over 5 Million Notes per second (NPS) and over 2 Million Polyphony, This is damn near impossible to pass; Espically on a core 2 Quad. Also I didnt want to OR the midi, because that takes the fun out of nolagging. I recorded the crash over 3 Days, but It still lagged. I used 0.00001 Speed in cheat engine for the crash. At that point, I did not want to record for 30 days (I would literally have to if I was going to nolag it) or shell out $2000 for the new PC that I am buying parts for. However, I did get close to it. So enjoy a weeks worth of work for this 3 minute video lmao (4 Days Total Recording, 1 day speeding up video, 1 day editing, 1 day audio rendering).

I finally made this video! It has been on my checklist for a long time, and I always wanted to do a PFA No-Lag of this.

Now everyone knows that you can’t open more than a 2gb midi in Piano From Above, but it is limited to files under the exact limit of 2GiB, which ranges between 250 to around 270 million notes. To combat this, the midi is split into 10 parts and can be merged to fit the limit with 2 separate parts. I spent quite a few days on this, totaling a week, and the final video was over 12GB, making it hard to upload, but I did do it (hence why this video is uploaded).
I primarily used 0.01 speed (100x) for the entire first part, but I did the 1st crash at 0.0001 speed (10000x) which was actually too slow, and I could’ve done 0.001 (1000x) easily. Most of the 2nd part is done at 0.01 and 0.001 speed (the final crash), but the first crash and the end melody (10x) are other speeds.
You can see the split at 9:06, as the timer shifts from 9 minutes to 14 minutes and the colors change. There is no easy place to split it, so that is the cleanest spot that would work well.
I also left the PFA fps indicator in on purpose, mostly because I was too lazy to to remove it.
I also scaled the video up to 1440p so that it would use youtube’s good video codec rather than their shitty one based on a recommendation from HÚNG. The 1440p video wouldn’t even play well on my pc, it would lag at some points lol. My cpu was maxed out in most parts.
For a bit of a personal update, I haven’t found a good sale on the Asus X570-E, so It is better to wait for the X670 series and Ryzen 4000 to come on sale later this year. I also can save up more money for a better CPU and GPU that way. That means no PC building live stream at 1000 subs, but I have a New plan for that now :)
