This B&K ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and DCR (Direct Current Resistance) Meter can greatly help identify good and failing/failed capacitors both in and out of circuit, over a capacitance range of .47Mfd to 2200Mfd. This can greatly assist in identifying problems in circuits, especially with older/vintage capacitors and equipment. I demonstrate its use on several failed capacitors found using this piece of equipment and also on a good capacitor to show what to expect.
