Tadaa! Guess who's coming in very late with her very own entry for the Mango IC? I haven't done an IC in quite a while so woot. Our aim was to create an AMV from a list of given songs with the a minimum of 1.30 length (for solo editors) over the course of 2/3 days. As you can see I uhhhh went…a minute more than that.

Since this is a competition I probs should have tried to shorten it and do a bit -more- with the video but I thought that hey, I needed to do another Astra vid with EP11 anyway? The one with the song I had planned hasn't happened yet so you get this instead! I don't think I've properly listened to this song before despite knowing the band and that they had a song called this - otherwise it would have clicked that this was perfect for Astra earlier!!!

Theme is 'drama' - which is basically this whole anime. I was hoping to show Charce's internal thoughts as the 'traitor' who knew about the whole thing and sat by watching as things occurred on the Astra, and having to be with Aries while being reminded of Seira who practically raised him and treated him like he was her younger brother. (Though lmao she didn't look like she aged a day from when Charce+Aries were born to when she died…just that her hair grew but…I'll let that slide with anime aging weirdness pfft). Anyway, despite this the whole crew relates and have their own issues but are not willing to give up on him. Obviously, Kanata had to save the day but the whole damn team gave a good effort - AND ULGAR was the first one to tell him to come home -- that character development okay. And then YunHua? Who was told not to sing and stand out because of her mother (original)? The confrontation bits are from ep11, with plenty of the other ep clips in this but seriously ep11 made me bawl. So many tears lost over their friendship.

I can't hate the ones who made me' -- this refers to Charce not being able to hate the king even though he was only created to be his vessel - because that's all he knew. But he also can't hate the Astra crew because he grew with them. And ofc the Astra Crew can't fully hate their Originals, as some of them thought they really were their parents. In other words...it's just...sad ;-;

As for the actual editing --- uhhhh so I was away for the whole weekend and only downloaded the song pack with 10/11 hours left on the clock…then ofc I procrastinated a tiny bit in choosing so this came out a bit rushed pfft. Then we got an extension so I got to tweak it a bit. And of COURSE yesterday I spent time prioritising my signature voiceovers instead of properly editing ahaha. Colouring is basic but fitting, I think. And the aspect ratio…welp I considered zooming in but thought that it would be more fitting as a 'series' AMV to keep it the same as how the rest of the anime is done. It let me do a few masks at the end in any case.

p.s. I don't expect to place but this edit made me feel accomplished and gave me astra feels so it's all good
