Chris Bishop has denied any suggestions he was part of MP Chris Penk's challenge of National Party leader Christopher Luxon on Tuesday, which saw the prime minister win his second vote of confidence in four months | Subscribe: youtube.com/RNZVideo?sub_confirmation=1

Speaking to media at a housing announcement on Wednesday morning, Bishop said Penk was "working for himself".

After the confidence vote, Penk was sacked from his ministerial portfolios and announced he will not stand for re-election in November.
