Raja Ampat is popular not only for its magnificent coral reefs, but also for its virgin rainforests. These forests are inhabited by many endemic species, including the birds of paradise - Paradisaea rubra. We were lucky to see these beautiful birds, but they were at the very tops of the trees, so it is almost impossible to see them up close in their natural habitat.
