Demo # 2. This full size replica of Giorgio Scarpa's model of the masticatory apparatus of the sea urchin was presented during the demo session at Living Machines 2014, The Third International Conference on Biomimetic and Biohybrid Systems, Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica Leonardo da Vinci, Milan, Italy, on July 31, 2014.
The model was also presented during the workshop “Bionics and Design: Pure and Applied Research”, conducted by Pino Trogu, Carmelo di Bartolo, and Franco Lodato on July 29, 2014, at the Politecnico di Milano.
