Bill and Dayna Wiebalk are the owners of Sonoma Valley Honey. Bill is the beekeeper, while Dayna tends to the business operations.
After many years of curiosity and reading about beekeeping, Bill finally acquired two hives of bees in 2004. Over time, Bill gradually added hives and locations to help friends with pollination for their gardens. Bill and Dayna found new ways of cooking with honey, as well as gave many jars away as gifts. Today, Bill’s interest in beekeeping has evolved from a small hobby, to a small business as an outlet to offer top-quality honey that interested consumers will appreciate as one of the many aspects that make Sonoma Valley special.
Bill founded the beekeeping program at the Sonoma Garden Park in 2006. Sonoma Garden Park is six-acre property owned by the City of Sonoma. The program is to provide an educational forum for the community to learn about gardening and related topics. Bill teaches a very popular beekeeping seminar that introduces children and adults such topics as beekeeping and the importance of bees, pollination
