Gregs Maker Corner | BigTreeTech Octopus v1.1 First Impressions @GregsMakerCorner | Uploaded July 2021 | Updated October 2024, 4 hours ago.
The BigTreeTech Octopus v1.1 is a very capable board with a lot of headroom and future proofing. In this video I show the board, talk about the features, and compare it with a smaller Creality board so you can see some key differences.
I upgraded my Core XY Printer with this board because I wanted to run Klipper and Input Shaper to improve my print quality by reduce ghosting. This board easily gets the job done, and is a GREAT upgrade.
This is the first video in a series where I go through the full process of upgrading, configuring Klipper, and tuning/calibrating Input Shaper. The printer I upgraded may look familiar- it is formerly a Hypercube Evolution, which I built in a series on my channel here:

Disclaimer: BTT sent this board to me "free" and asked me to help get the word out on my views, and I happily obliged. I still had to purchase the steppers and do all the work to configure and install it which took a good day or so especially since the documentation is very sparse.
