Another week... another massive round of WoW 12.1 PTR tuning.
This time Blizzard has finally taken aim at some of the strongest specs on the PTR while giving huge buffs to a long list of classes that have been struggling. Frost and Unholy Death Knight take some heavy hits, Retribution Paladin loses one of the most exciting parts of its new tier set, while Balance Druid, Marksmanship Hunter, Fire Mage, Shadow Priest, Holy Paladin, Arms Warrior and many more receive significant buffs and gameplay adjustments.

The PTR is finally starting to look like a real balancing pass.
Some of the specs dominating early testing are being pulled back, while others that were flying under the radar are getting meaningful buffs instead of simple number tweaks. We also take a look at several updated Season 2 tier sets, Hero Talent adjustments, survivability improvements and gameplay changes that could end up having a much bigger impact than the raw tuning numbers themselves.
Of course, this is still the PTR, and there's every chance Blizzard continues iterating before WoW 12.1 launches. But if these updates are anything to go by, the Midnight Season 2 meta is already starting to take shape.
