In this video, I'm giving updates on 8 of the most interesting stories I've covered over the last two years.
1. Vaquita (Phocoena sinus) calves were photographed this year.
2. Devil’s Hole Pupfish (Cyprinodon diabolis) saw a drastic population crash
3. Madagascar Pochard (Aythya innotata) populations are stabilizing and expanding.
4. Black Softshell Turtle (Nilssonia nigricans) wild populations have been confirmed, and they are no longer listed as Extinct in the Wild.
5. A Sulu Hornbill (Anthracoceros montani) was found hundreds of kilometers outside of it's natural range.
6. Negros Fruit Dove (Ptilinopus arcanus) genetic analysis confirms it is a legitimate species and narrows down where the search should take place.
7. Jerdon’s Courser (Rhinoptilus bitorquatus) has been recorded in the wild for the first time in 20 years.
8. Thylacine (Thylacinus cynocephalus) sightings are still happening, and Colossal Biosciences is working on bringing them back.
