Eduardo Gudynas is a researcher at the Latin American Center for Social Ecology (CLAES) and a visiting researcher at the University of Granada (Spain). He specializes in the relationship between environment and development in Latin America. Among his most recent positions, he was a visiting researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the University of Munich (Germany) and the first Latin American to hold the Arne Naess Chair in Ecology and Global Justice at the University of Oslo (Norway). He was a member of the Commission for the Economic Transformation of the 21st Century of the Club of Rome. His most recent books include an analysis of the current crisis in the Amazon (published in Colombia, Peru, and Peru) and a handbook on development alternatives (published in Colombia).
