Friendly Review of Acadia National Park which is located in Maine. If you have just one day in this amazing national park, here is a list of what to do with your family. This is kid friendly, but you will have to adjust based on their ages.

1.) Bar Harbor - You can shop, eat, and tide pool to Bar Island an hour and a half on each side of low tide. Make sure you don't get stuck on the island.
2.) Sandy beach is a great place to make a sand castle, get in the water, or go on the Great Head Trail. There you can rock scramble and
hike a fun trail. (The rocks can be a little large and slippery at parts)
3.) Thunder Hole is rather popular. This is where you can watch a wave crash in at just the right level to cause a thunderous roar if you time it just right. Try halfway between low and high tide, but it can be hard to catch.
4.) Otter Cliff is a great place to see the rocky coast or some rock climbing.
5.) Inland is Jordan Pond which is a very photogenic location. There you can hike or eat at the Jordan Pond House Restaurant. Don't forget to get a popover and grab a table on the lawn.
6.) Cadillac Mountain is the final stop which will give you an amazing view. There are also some more hiking trails. This is amazing for sunsets or night star viewing.
