Remembering the most interesting and important steps of the project. Hoping this work will be continued.
The final few seconds is NyLeve's Falls made by guh_13. Though we mostly work separately, our projects are compatible, so we hope to merge them eventually. He's got many other levels too, but his work is hampered by the lack of many Unreal-specific assets.
This also features many assets made by Mothership Loudspeakerz and Cryoshell.
Some of my current thoughts:
project's cons:
- my coding is simplistic & dirty (meaning no coop/multiplayer, no support for mods or user made levels, not even proper quick save/load with BPs)
- good modeling & materials are harder than expected
- the lack of resources, skillsets and time are real things to consider
- strictly speaking, using Epic assets in a non-Epic game is illegal, so I suspect there's no way to realease this as is, without getting into trouble
project's pros:
- we got something that works and could be played (some weapons, monsters & level scripting)
- many things could be improved with time
- personally, I'm still enjoying working on it

![Unreal 1 UE4 | Vertex Animations Test [UT Pre-Alpha custom level]
[Depths of Rrajigar from Unreal] Custom DM level WIP made for UT Pre-Alpha (aka UT4).
UPD: please note, this work (as a proposed UT mod) was put on hold since Epic did same to UT. As of 2019 the project is being developed as a standalone UE4 game see my recent videos for more.

Original description
Surprisingly, theres a way to have vertex animations in UE4 (which are not supported directly since UT3/UDK) using special shader materials.
Similar to morph targets, this approach has its own flaws tho.
If youre interested, you could read more here (3ds Max version of tool is come bundled with UE4):

also, theres Blender script variant too:

Two more weapons got their proper morph targets complete with polygonal muzzleflashes, but no material work for now.
Krall performs its basic duties as well. [U1 UE4] - Mini, Rifle & Krall WIPs](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/WciBiRF0frM/mqdefault.jpg)
