After receiving complimentary Intel Optane drives via the VMware vExpert program for testing in the home lab, I am excited to share with you guys the journey of adding Intel Optane storage to my home lab VMware vSphere vSAN environment. Take a look with me and the benchmark results as we look at the differences between NVMe cache tier and Optane and the results I saw in the lab.
