Hi butterflies!!!
So this is the top secret project I've been working on for about a month and a half. I haven't posted anything on it to keep it a surprise. Hehehe I posted the reference sheet of my dad's character as for DOTK so there would be no suspicion, so that's why there's a baby Butterfly on the sheet, but nowhere in the animatic XD Technically it was still true though cuz that is also for DOTK :p
This took a LOT of time to make, but it was a lot of fun and I'm so excited to post it!!! I was able to learn a lot from making this. I learned to do the tweening of the characters in HitFilm, learned how to use Krita, as well as improved my animation skills. Now that it's done time to move on to the next thing XD I'm going to continue working on DOTK now as well as new intro/outro animations I've got sketched. So stick around for more animations among other things I post^^
Oh also I did change my design. I just got rid of the Butterfly marking cuz it was a pain and I like it without it^^ I think the design has a better balance without it and I like that she stays predominantly white. I did like the marking for a bit, but ultimately I'm glad I finally gave it the boot-it kinda annoyed the shit outta me to draw😂
Story- Pretty much this is some of my favorite memories with my dad, as well as ones he and my mom tell me about from when I was little. Plus some random bits to go with the song. If you'd like to know what a part means feel free to ask^^
Did I have to look up what a video tape looks like? Yes, yes I did because I haven't seen one since I was 3 XD

Here is what is used:
I made the storyboard in Flipaclip off my phone. Then all the still images are made in Autodesk off my laptop. The animation was made in Krita on my drawing tablet, Parblo Mast 10. Everything was edited together in HitFilm Express.
