I came across Yangyang on her video discussing how she trained Eliza Coupe to pass off as a Chinese speaking expat in the upcoming movie "Shanghai Calling" here: youtube.com/watch?v=hm0CmqimHlI
We got in touch and Yangyang was happy to chat with me several times over Skype and give me some pointers on my own Chinese. We recorded this final interview (sorry about some sound synchronisation issues) discussing how Yangyang got into working as a TV show presenter starting off from simply uploading videos to Youtube, some tips for improving your Chinese tones, as well as some cultural comparisons and her thoughts on learning Chinese in general.
