Ben Jordan: Paranormal Investigator is the main title of a planned series of eight amateur adventure games made by Francisco "Grundislav" Gonzalez with freeware adventure game engine Adventure Game Studio. To date, there have been seven games released in the series, each game being a separate "case" investigated by Ben Jordan, the protagonist and player character. Each game features the main title and a subtitle, usually relating to the plot of the case. The series distinguishes itself from other games about paranormal investigation in that many of the paranormal phenomena are taken from real-life legends and folklore.
There were originally nine games planned, but one was dropped because of a weak plot.
Case 1: In search of the skunk ape Edit
In Jordan's first case, he is called to the Wikipedia:Everglades, where he investigates the murder of a ranger who was another victim of a serial killer who rips the liver out of his victims' bodies, and the murders are connected to the local legend of the Wikipedia:skunk ape. The game was re-released in a deluxe version containing new puzzles and a speech pack and new graphics.

![Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (1992) [SNES]
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, released as Mystic Quest Legend in PAL regions and as Final Fantasy USA: Mystic Quest (ファイナルファンタジーUSA ミスティッククエスト Fainaru Fantajī Yū Esu Ē Misutikku Kuesuto?) in Japan, is a role-playing video game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game was released as a spin-off to Squares popular Final Fantasy series of video games. Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was first released in North America in 1992 and marketed as a simplified role-playing game...designed for the entry-level player[1] in an attempt to broaden the genres appeal.[2] The games presentation and battle system is broadly similar to that of the main series, but it differed in its inclusion of action-adventure game elements. Along with Final Fantasy Adventure, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was the first Final Fantasy game to be released in Europe.
In the game, the player controls a youth named Benjamin in his quest to save the world. His goal is to reclaim a set of stolen crystals that determine the state of the worlds four elemental powers. The gameplay takes a departure from the main series in a variety of ways. Many series staples are eliminated, such as random battles, save points, manual equipment, and the party system. The game received middling reviews and sales in North America and Japan, citing its simplified gameplay and lack of depth in the games story. Over time, the game has kept the reputation for being a beginners Final Fantasy and has been praised for its music. ![Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure (2005) [GBA]
In my opinion, one of the best DB games ever done.
Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure (ドラゴンボール アドバンス アドベンチャー Doragon Bōru Adobansu Adobenchā?) is a Game Boy Advance video game based on the Dragon Ball manga and anime series. The game contains 30 playable characters (counting all modes in the game altogether), which is unusually large for a third-party game for a portable system. It contains five modes of play. The story of the game starts at the very the beginning of the series when Goku first met Bulma, and goes all the way up to the final battle against King Piccolo. This game received an ESRB rating of Everyone 10+ because of some of the violence and language. Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure (2005) [GBA]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/uwkzI8k7Uog/mqdefault.jpg)
![Absolute Blue - Level 3-3 [MUSIC]
Absolute Blue is a free shoot em up, in the style of classics like R-Type and Gradius.
This is quite a big game, considering its freeware, with 12 levels set over four worlds. Absolute Blue features a tutorial, one of very few for this genre! You control a ship, and as you fly through space, scrolling right avoiding scenery and shooting down waves of enemies and the occasional boss.
The sound effects in Absolute Blue are very 16-bit era, which is fine. Graphically it is also reminiscent of that time, but a little more polished and with some great explosion effects. There are three difficulty levels, to suit most players.
What sets Absolute Blue apart is its over the top power-up system. When you start off, your ship is useless, but pick up a few power-ups and the tables are soon turned on the army of alien invaders. While you lose everything if you lose a life, once your power ups reach a certain level you will be firing so much around the screen enemies will barely have a moment to fight back! Of course, some may find this makes the game too easy, though its a lot of fun.
Absolute Blue is a great free shoot em up that looks and sounds good, and plays even better. Absolute Blue - Level 3-3 [MUSIC]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/v0eXMAhCEp8/mqdefault.jpg)
