The Belleau Wood Chapel is located within the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial in France. It was built directly on the World War I trenches in the area. It was dedicated on Memorial Day May 30, 1937. During World War II the building was damaged but repaired except for one shell hole that is visible to the right of the main entrance to the chapel.
