Welcome to Day 8 of 20 Days of Creative Play 💛
Today’s prompt didn’t exactly go how I expected… and honestly, I almost called it a fail.
I thought this crackle paste would give me those beautiful, deep cracks we all love… but instead I got barely anything at first. So instead of tossing the backgrounds, I started experimenting.
Different surfaces.
Different applications.
And a little more patience than I planned on.
And what I realized is this: sometimes it’s not that something didn’t work… it just needs more time.
In this video, I’m sharing my crackle paste tests, what worked (and what didn’t), and how adding just a little texture can take your background to the next stage without starting over.
If you’ve ever felt like a background was “almost there” but missing something, this one’s for you.
Remember, this series is all about playing, experimenting, and giving yourself permission to keep going — even when things don’t go as planned.
