When you observe surplus honey bees on the front of your hive, it may be time to expand the space they have. This is a Long Langstroth Hive, and expanding the available space for the bees is very simple. I hope you enjoy this step by step demonstration. I'll also explain how to determine of that cluster is a swarm, or just surplus workers.
