I made this video on December 14th at the request of BugFarmerBees (YouTube channel name) who simply requested a 30 minute video of my property in the snow. Well, here it is.
Flir images of some of the hives are included. I learned that the Flir ONE Pro cannot handle temps in the 14 deg. F range at all (-10 Celsius) and it simply quit in a matter of minutes. But not before capturing that all colonies in the lower apiary are alive with the exception of the eastern colony that is at one end of the top-bar hive. The western side of the Top-Bar hive is alive and well with a perfectly placed colony heat signature. They are just a few frames into their capped honey, with plenty remaining available.
