What we want to ask and answer today is how do we actually do that. An annual cost of a cow calf pair is around €1,000, depending on where you're from. How can we increase the kilos of beef that we're producing on our farms to cover the cost of that cow and to make a good profit on the farm.
The key drivers are increasing calves per cow per year, calving your heifers and two years of age and increasing the performance of those animals.
