A Burlington, Vermont man is recovering after a beaver attacked swimmers near Turtle Island in Lake George.

Brandon Shortsleeve spoke to NewsChannel 13's sister station WPTZ and said he was swimming with his brother and a friend off Turtle Island on July 4 when the beaver went after his friend. He said he pulled the animal away and was bitten several times.
