TEDx Talks | Be the Seed | Jeremy Chavez | TEDxGVAGrad @TEDx | Uploaded 4 months ago | Updated 3 hours ago
"Be the Seed" is a whimsical and thought-provoking performance that blends the artistry of slam poetry with the comedic flair of storytelling. Jeremy, a rising star in the spoken word scene, takes center stage to cultivate laughter and insight through his unique blend of humor and artistic expression. With each carefully crafted word and witty observation, he invites audiences to embark on a journey of self-discovery and amusement. In 2018, Jeremy (1999) stood on stage for the first time and thought to himself: Ill never do that again. A year later, out of boredom, he tried the poetry slam again and, to his own surprise, became U20 Swiss champion. Since then, he has been an integral part of the spoken word scene and performs from Brig to Hamburg, Thun to Vienna, across the cabaret stages in German-speaking countries.
Since 2021 he has also been on the u20 Slam Aargau organizing committee, where he teaches young people the art of writing and speaking as part of the promotion of young talent. He lives in Basel and studies history and German at the university. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
