Hey guys! LOrbSheddy here! Back with another remix for you guys! This time, it's a remix of Zinnia's battle theme! Hope you enjoy!
I've already rambled on enough about Zinnia as a character in my remix of 'The Lament Of Falling Stars' (Wishing Misery), but I never talked about what she represented. A zinnia in real life is a flower, somewhat similar to sunflowers, and symbolise remembrance (hence the title). In the language of flowers, zinnias generally mean 'thoughts of friends', however, different colours can represent other things. One that strikes out in particular is the mixed colour zinnia's meaning, 'thinking of an absent friend', which, in Zinnia's case, is most likely Aster.
In relation to the mix itself, I decided to add in bits and pieces of Sekibanki's theme, 'Dullahan Under the Willows', from Touhou 10, because I thought it fit well with Zinnia's theme. Also, willow, flowers, plants, you know, correlations... Anyway, I went with a slow feel to try and get across that theme of remembrance. Additionally, going along with the theme of remembrance, I added in references to 'Wishing Misery' and also the Weather Trios battle theme (although it's a little bit of a stretch).
In case you couldn't see what I was getting at throughout all of this, this remix is dedicated to former CEO of Nintendo, our beloved Satoru Iwata. Due to unfortunate events, he passed away last week on the 11th of July, 2015, with public not knowing until two days later. I know I'm a little late, but I wanted this to be a perfect tribute to the man. He will forever be remembered, as our precious friend.
