Today I take the brand new ferry from Wall St to Rockaway Beach where Locals Surf School and Red Bull are hosting a "Foam Top Frenzy" where the only rules are that you HAVE to ride a foam top board or a home made board. Prizes were being awarded for best trick/wave, best wipe out, and best crafted board. Needless to say, things got real competitive really fast and surfboards were flying! After the surf champion was crowned, we hung out on the beach for a few more hours, soaking up the sun, and then headed down the beach to Rockaway Beach Surf Club for some delicious fish tacos and strong frozen margaritas. We then attempt to catch the ferry back to Manhattan, but everyone else had the same idea, so we decided to take the subway instead.
