Testing & comparing the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6GB and RTX 4060 8GB graphics cards in 10 games from their respective eras, using a reasonably priced gaming PC.
Gamers have a special place in their heart for the 60 series GPUs from Nvidia, with the GTX 1060 in particular being a long-time favourite that has spent a significant amount of time at the top of the Steam Hardware Survey. The RTX 4060 meanwhile has been reluctantly embraced by gamers, offering acceptable performance and features for its price, despite being a cut-down model from what was expected for this class of GPU. In this video, I've done my best to ascertain whether the RTX 4060 really is a downgrade, and whether we should expect more from the 60s.
