Battle of the Badges brought together roughly 150 police officers and sheriff's deputies for a USPSA-style, law enforcement only shooting competition at the Smith & Wesson Academy.

We caught up with founder Preston Woodruff to hear the story behind Battle of the Badges and what makes this competition stand out among law enforcement. This law enforcement shooting competition tested speed, accuracy, and tactical proficiency across a full day of stage-based courses of fire. From pistol proficiency to combat accuracy under time pressure, this competition put officers through a demanding test of their training.
