Although the Treasure Radar at 4500 score isn’t exactly important, I realize some people like beating all of the score requirements so this is for you guys.
This stage is 200% buffed in 4-Crown, putting the Count Owlbrows at a whopping 1,328,000 HP each with 52,800 damage. Taking them down quickly is simply too much to ask for in the time given to you for the score requirement, so instead we’re cheesing the stage with LD. Mina can deal with most of the base damage, but she’ll need some assistance from Courier, Bubble, and Cat God to make the distance. Carpenter is a great staller for the stage as the only reasonable 4-Crown option that can tank the Count Owlbrows. Comparatively, the supporting enemies are rather weak.
This stage also has a 10% chance to drop Pumpcat on each clear.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Pumpcat’s first form is a generic Cat variant, except it costs a slightly higher 90 to deploy. It’s a slightly worse option than other Cat clones, but can do just fine if you need an extra meatshield.
Pumpcat’s evolved form, Cat O’Lantern changes into a highly stackable, single target CC unit with 350 range and a 20% chance to Freeze Black for 2 seconds. While in concept this can work, there are several things keeping this unit from doing anything. Firstly, its attack rate is a measly 6.1 seconds, leaving it with a 33% uptime in the best case scenario. It’s highly inconsistent and has no battle stats to speak of. Additionally, most Black enemies that are aggressive enough to warrant CC come in swarms, making single target a bad compatibility issue. Now let’s address the Le’Grim in the room. Bomber Cat exists. It’s way better. Black doesn’t have ranged enemies that would make Cat O’Lantern’s higher range matter. This doesn’t leave Cat O’Lantern without use, however. It is part of a combo set that allows the most efficient Freeze Up combos in the game, allowing Bomber and Healer from the Merc Storia collab to achieve 100% uptime Freeze on their own.
Pumpcat also has a True Form, Harbinger Cat, which you can unlock with 20 Purple Stones, 15 Green Stones, and 1 Yellow Stone. Its True Form adds the Strong Vs ability and Behemoth Slayer with standard 5% Dodge rate. While theoretically this could give Harbinger a new niche, let’s look at its stats against Black Behemoth enemies. At level 50, Harbinger has an effective 43,875 HP and 18,705 damage against Black Behemoths with 3,066 DPS. While these are usually serviceable stats especially for a unit so spammable, Courier as a reference point has 39,600 HP and 28,012 damage vs Non-Red Behemoths with 13,130 DPS. Harbinger simply cannot compete against a non-targeting Behemoth Slayer.
Further complicating this new potential matchup is that EVERY SINGLE BLACK BEHEMOTH HAS FREEZE IMMUNE. ALL OF THEM. Harbinger’s original ability is useless againt Black Behemoth, leaving only the combat potential, which as previously stated is not good enough. He doesn’t even outrange the ones that aren’t Ragin’ Gory and Rgory barely counts as a Behemoth to begin with. This unit is an absolute failure and a complete waste of precious Behemoth Stones. There is no reason to ever get this unit.
