Slight deviations and position variations in cells and busbars must be measured by a vision system to adjust the laser process and clamping.

This system must meet the following requirements:

• X-Y-Z measurements to validate 3D positions
• Speed that matches the required cycle time
• High resolution to meet welding position tolerances
• Uniform lighting to identify each module element
• Large field of view to measure all cell positions
• Ability to validate module integrity
