Pin Oak blank milled from a log, rounded, and I used my Wood Lathe Router Jig to run a core bit along the body to make the primary flutes and a v-groove bit for the secondary flutes. Drilled out the body to fit a 1/4-inch bit holder and epoxied it in place. After final shaping and sanding the I cut it free and cleaned up the end with a foam sanding pad mounted in my lathe in a Jacob’s chuck. Sanded to 320 grit then polished with Ack’s Abrasive Sanding Paste and Ack’s Polish/Restoring Paste.
