Not many people know that my actual first gig in the US, 20+ years ago, was as a bass player! I never get to feature this instrument much in my videos, but I hold the deepest love for it. Nothing hits the soul quite as much as playing a groove on bass. And nothing hits quite as hard one’s normal facial expression while playing.
The bass is a warmoth parts P bass, with a super light (whole bass is 7 pounds) basswood body, and a Nordstrand MM.4 pickup wired in parallel. Passive electronics. Straight into a Golden Age Premier 73 preamp.
