Basic handbrake adjustment for Rolls-Royce / Bentley models between 1965 and 1998
You will need the following items:
1. 1/2" - 13mm Socket
2. 1/4 Drive ratchet or 1/2" - 13mm Ratchet spanner
Step 1 - Jack the rear of the car off the ground so the
wheels spin freely
Step 2 - Ensure the Handbrake is fully off
Step 3 - Using the socket and ratchet or spanner, turn the caliper adjuster clockwise until the parking brake pads grip the disc. At this point it should only just be possible to rotate the wheel by hand.
Step 4 - Turn the adjuster anti-clockwise 1/4 of a turn (3 clicks on the nut) to obtain a minimum clearance between the pads and disc.
Step 5 - Test operation of handbrake
