For this Expert Talk, we were honored to host Dr. Shafeeq Ladha, one of the nation's leading voices in ALS research and care.
Dr. Ladha presented on the topic "Barriers to ALS Therapy Development: Forging a Path Through."
He discussed the disease's heterogeneity and the importance of biomarkers in clinical trials. The group discussion went on to explore various research approaches, including the use of neurofilament as a biomarker, the potential of AI in analyzing large datasets and the importance of improving clinical trial designs and preclinical models.
In addition, Dr. Ladha answered several questions at the end of the talk.
