I'm ready to start working on the deck I'm building on my barn out of the hay loft. After developing a plan in sketchup, I get to work building the two large footings that the metal deck supports will sit on. I dig the holes completely by hand, build the concrete forms, use a laser level to find exactly where they need to be positioned, fabricate metal posts that will be set in the concrete, and lastly my Dad and Grandfather stop by to help pour the concrete. I'm so excited to be finally taking the first steps on this big project!
