We're up in Ballymoney Co Antrim for a few days to help out with looking after our grandson. We walk down to the museum and call in on the excellent, 'From Mesolithic to Motorcycles', display.

Ballymoney Museum is located within the Town Hall and offers visitors the opportunity to explore the vibrant history of the area. The permanent exhibition includes the story of the area since early times including-

*the mystical Derrykeighan Stone from which the museum takes its enigmatic logo
*the 1798 Rebellion
*local involvement in the two World Wars
*the Corfield Camera factory
*the history of Road Racing in Ireland.

Ballymoney Museum is open all year round.
Monday - Saturday: 9.30am-4.30pm, closed 1pm-1.30pm (for lunch)
Admission: Free
