This video was sent to me by my good Youtube friend Chris who lives over there in Bempton Bridlington east Yorkshire.
Chris stopped by his local ponds at Bempton and Buckton and this was the alarming situation. no water!
He tells us, ' As far as I know the ponds in both villages have never been in this state, they've been very low in the past years of hot weather but certainly in my lifetime, ( nearly 80 years), never like this.
The sad thing as well is the willow tree my late father planted on the duck island has been cut down. It was planted as part of a programme on cleaning and sorting the village pond out for Queen Elizabeth the 2nd's Silver Jubilee in 1977.
In the second brief part of the video I moved on to Buckton pond and found the same situation there. I had no time to spend videoing here for any length of time, (just under a minute), because of agricultural traffic needing access.
