Ballistic glass is often referred to as bullet proof glass, but this is not the correct term. Bullet resistant glass is better. If you say bullet proof it implies that there is no bullet that can penetrate it. This is a fallacy. There is always a bigger gun with more powerful ammunition. The tests are conducted to give consumers a general idea of a security glass panel's ability to resist penetration from various caliber weapons systems.
