Baldur's Gate is a fantasy role-playing game developed by BioWare and published by Interplay Entertainment in 1998. It is the first game in the series of the same name and it takes place in the Forgotten Realms, a campain setting for Dungeons & Dragons. Baldur's Gate was praised by virtually every computer gaming magazine that reviewed it.
