CuteFloor | Youngblood: Search and Destroy ⭐ Cancelled Game @CuteFloor | Uploaded April 2017 | Updated October 2024, 6 days ago.
Based on Rob Liefeld's comic book of the same name, Youngblood: Search and Destroy is an isometric action game developed by Realtime Associates and produced by GT Interactive. It was originally scheduled for being published for PC and Sony PlayStation in November 1997. However, the PC version has been postponed to May 1998 while the PlayStation version was pushed back to an undisclosed date. The official reason was an ongoing reevaluation, but in fact, the developers had some trouble getting the game done in time. It's been said that not only the multiplayer and AI code was quite a mess that they could not get to work, the whole game was unstable and in a terrible shape.
There were also planned versions for Sega Saturn and Apple Macintosh, which have been abandoned as well.
In this video, you can see a playable one-level PC demo, where you assume the roles of Diehard, Chapel and Badrock to fight ... enemies or something like that. Since there's not much to see, it's hard to tell how the final game would have been.
Thanks to the former pcGTW project for providing the demo and some information.
