On Wednesday the 23rd of January the famous Hawk aircraft G-Hawk arrived at Brooklands having been given the the museum by BAE Systems plc.
G-HAWK was the Hawker Siddeley company’s demonstration and development aircraft, initially fulfilling the same role as the Brooklands Harrier (G-VTOL) as a marketing tool to promote the aircraft to potential customers. It was then used for development of the design up to Hawk 100 specification by testing small design changes and many different payload configurations.
