This video shows a vehicle that crawls like a centipede. It uses a walking mechanism based loosely on one of my previous videos:

The "centipede" in this video has legs that move in a manner similar to actual centipedes. The yellow umbrellas need to be started in waves, so that each leg is slightly delayed with respect to the motion of the leg behind it. Each upper umbrella is out of phase with its corresponding lower umbrella. When all of the umbrellas are in correct motion, the centipede will often start moving laterally on its own, but it sometimes needs a little push from the leading air bellow to get started.
The centipede has difficulty going up inclines, so you can challenge yourself by trying to reach the end of Field of Dreams. This isn't easy - I've only managed to do this once.
