I'm spending 3 days in the wild backpacking in the UK. I've chosen the Lake District as my wild camping destination. The plan is to do some serious hiking taking in many of the Wainwright Fells in the glorious lake district national park. I'm solo wild camping so I've got all my wild camping gear with me as I need to be totally self-sufficient. Backpacking for 3 days won't be easily especially as I'll be camping in the rain and wind.

I'm using the Tarptent Scarp 1 as my backpacking tent. It's a 4 season tent that can withstand all sorts of conditions including wild camping in heavy rain and strong winds.

My wild camp spot was Angle Tarn at 479 metres above sea level. This is a very popular wild camping spot, especially in summer. Is an absolutely stunning solo camping spot.

These are part of the Far Eastern Fells in the Lake District.

Part of hiking the Wainwright Fells is to show you what you can achieve when out backpacking. Hiking with a heavy backpack bag isn't easy but it can be done with a little perseverance and determination.
