Backpacking from Canada to Grand Marais alone on the Superior Hiking Trail. This 52 mile, 3 day solo journey takes me through the mosquito infested northwoods from the 270 degree overlook, the north terminus of the SHT, through Judge Magney State Park (and Devil's Kettle), to Lake Superior's Lake Walk, to the incredible overlook at Pincushion Mountain.
The mosquitos, rain, roots, mud, and other adversities of the trail are forgotten when you enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior from up close or from a remote mountain view.
